For industrial manufacturers, the search for clean energy sources capable of meeting high-temperature requirements can be daunting. Green hydrogen provides a viable answer. It can replace fossil fuels in high-temperature applications where electrification is not feasible, such as in glass and cement production. Green hydrogen can also serve as a clean feedstock in many industrial and chemical processes, supporting the transition towards carbon neutrality. For example the electronics industry needs hydrogen as a blanketing gas. In chemical processes hydrogen is often applied as a reducing agent or for hydrogenation. Since the hydrogen today is provided as gray hydrogen, this consumptions comes with a significant carbon footprint. With green hydrogen, the future of cleaner, more sustainable manufacturing processes is within sight.
